Students Minor In Sex

China Daily is reporting that university students at the teachers' college of Chengdu University in Sichuan province are scrambling to study sex education as a minor area of study.

This once repressed and conservative country seems to be entering the new century in regards to sexual matters. One student exemplified this by the statement that "... sex is no longer a taboo subject in China."

There were more students who applied for the minor than there was room. This is the second university on China to have a sex education minor. Courses include physiological anatomy, sexual psychology, sexual counseling, sociology, sexual norms (sexual morality and ethics), school sex education, sexual aesthetics, as well as sex education teaching materials and methods.
