No Prostitution Ads
Sex News Around The World heads to Spain where the Spanish journalists' federation FAPE (Federación de Asociaciones de Periodistas de España) is endorsing a proposal by the Spanish Parliament that calls on the media to stop carrying advertisements for prostitution.
Spain is one of only a few countries where serious newspapers publish advertisements announcing the services of prostitutes. The Spanish consevative opposition has also criticized the hypocrisy of media writing critically about prostitution which is semi-legal in Spain and yet publishing sex ads.The journalists' federation has urged the government to stop state-funding of any advertising that exploits women.
